I must admit, I was not very endeared to Mark Kozelek's first album from his newest musical outlet Sun Kil Moon, "Ghosts of the Great Highway," but his forthcoming release "April" is one of the most beautiful releases of the year to date and arguably one of his strongest offerings ever (which is saying a lot given the former Red House Painter front-man's extensive catalog.) It took me almost a full day to get through the album simply because i found myself leaving the albums opening track "Lost Verses" on repeat for hours hopelessly lost in its charms. The album is available for pre-order with the first 2,008 (clever, no?) copies coming autographed by Kozelek. Here's a copy of that song, listen and enjoy:
